Age Eligibility Details

DATE OF BIRTH CUTOFF IS SEPT 1 of every year.

A player who is born in JANUARY does not count the same as a player who is born in SEPT of the same year. The JAN player is older, and sometimes stronger and more coordinated. SEE THE BREAKDOWN BELOW. TELL YOUR COACHES AND PARENTS. Exceptions are given if you highlight them on fully submitted rosters by Jan 1. Permission to play older players is only granted if it is a better fit for that player.

We are strictly enforcing the age cut off! All coaches are responsible for ensuring that they provide appropriate and honest documentation to the GBA League. Failure to do so may result in a permanent ban from the league for all teams of that organization. Players will be removed from games. Forfeits will be given out.

The league reserved the right to 1) ask for a player’s first name, and date of birth 2) record this info 3) and if there are repeated offenses by any programs, then the league will ask for specific teams to carry ID. Do not put us in this spot.

PARENTS should bookmark this page. Parents are not allowed to go near the table, near the benches (unless emergency) or near officials. They are to stay in the stands. Coaches, manager, referees deal with this info.

PLAYERS MUST PLAY AT LEAST FIVE GAMES to qualify for PLAYOFFS. All playoff rosters must be approved by Jan 15). Playoffs run generally at the end of public school February Break through March 3/4 and 9/10 (if needed). Playoff teams are seeded (we adjust so games are exciting) and winners only advance.

PLAYERS ALSO MUST WEAR A CONSISTENT NUMBER and HAVE THEIR FIRST NAME IN THE BOOK.

FOR EXAMPLE for the year 2023-24 Season:

*Exceptions can be granted if the players over the age cutoff do not significantly impact the game. Exemptions must be given prior approval by the commissioner.

If a team fails to provide a full roster or enters an ineligible player, the board notifies the coach and all games are considered losses until the coach and team complies with the GBA rules.
