Even our scorekeepers are pleased with how well GBA ’13 ran.  Exciting games up at Milbank, West Side High and JH 99 for Week 9.  An outstanding job by the Douglass Panthers, who fought hard to beat the always Mighty Milbank in the Girls 14&U.  Sacred Heart won a nail-biter at the foul line up at Milbank in the girls grade 14&U Div II for the semis, and then easily took the W vs. Mo’ Motion Navy in the finals (photo is below – Sacred Heart girls with their GBA socks).  Milbank’s boys also took home the championship socks in the 12&U and 14&U.  Mo’ Motion Gray Boys 12&U had a nice showing vs. the energetic 92nd St Y.  Boys 10&U Division I featured great heart and effort with the Gladiators coming out on top.

Special thanks to the NBA for their last minute assist.  On Friday, we received a shipment of basketballs and NBA Cares T-shirts.

Thank you to everyone who participated – teams, coaches, players, fans and referees.  It was a terrific ’13 season.  We look forward to many more years of GBA Madness.
